The end of the year fashion show highlights the talent and hard work in putting together a runway collection by students majoring in fashion design at Parsons School of Design. Each undergraduate and graduate student selects a few of their self-designed garments to present in a show for the public. Fashion Shows are unique to event planning. The space needed for the show's runway and for its models to quickly change from one look to the next is paramount to the event's success. Guests, lighting, hair, photographers, models, makeup, press, music, permits, and refreshments are just a few things that one must keep in mind while organizing such an event.
Here are photos that illustrate the set-up process for The School of Fashion's runway show followed by a highlight reel Parsons Festival in 2019.
