Launch party for the opening night of Kailash Cartographies: Sacred Landscapes.
A photography exhibit highlighting fieldwork done by Parsons students, New School faculty, and staff from The India China Institute in India, Nepal, and Tibet. The exhibit's run of show began with a tour of the gallery, followed by a presentation and remarks from faculty, and a culminating reception serving refreshments and drinks for all.

About The Exhibit:
Mount Kailash in Tibet is a representation of the center of Buddhism, Bon cosmos, and the seat of Shiva for Hindus. The exhibit depicts the experience of a three-year research project lead by The New School's India China Institute. Artists from the U.S., India, China, and Nepal survey conceptualizations of followers' acts of pilgrimage, ritual, and art in the Himalayan Mountain's sacred geography. In 2015-2016 This group of artists created the collection of works in Kathmandu.
